Dated 16th December 2023 (next review December 2024)

We are committed to safeguarding your personal information that you may choose to share with us when using our website, mailing list and other facilities.

  1. We promise:
     - To keep your data safe and private
     - Not to sell or pass on your data to any third party
     - To give you ways to manage and review your marketing choices at any time

  2. Personally Identifiable Information
In order to use certain areas of our website, hold a Scott Cinemas membership, and be on the Scott Cinema e-mail list, it is necessary for us to collect certain Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in order to provide the services. This includes, but is not limited to, your name, e-mail address and membership card number. To use the Membership functions of our website, these elements are required. Our ticketing and booking provider, Jack Roe (CS) Ltd (Trading as Jacro Cinema Sales) may also collect information during the payment process - this process remains outside of the scope of our website, and their privacy policy can be found here.

  3. How We Collect Your Personal Information
When using this website, we collect your personal data by means of an electronic form which you fill in with your Name and E-mail address. This grants you immediate access to the membership functionality. We may also have collected your data by means of a bulk acquisition of data from our previous website providers (pre-2011), Cinemas Online - if this was the case, we have audited all members to confirm that consent has been granted. We may also collect your personal data when you have booked cinema tickets and have opted in to receive further communications.

  4. How Long We Store Your Personal Information (Data Retention)
We store your data for as long as you hold a membership with us, until you opt to withdraw your consent by terminating your membership.

  5. How We Keep Your Personal Information Secure
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your Personal Data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. We limit access to your Personal Data to those employees and other staff who have a business need to have such access. All such people are subject to a contractual duty of confidentiality. We have put in place procedures to deal with any actual or suspected Personal Data breach. In the event of any such breach, we have systems in place to work with applicable regulators. In addition, in certain circumstances (e.g., where we are legally required to do so) we may notify you of breaches affecting your Personal Data.

  6. Use of Your Personal Information
The information you provide to us, as described above, will not be shared with any third party - including people and data networks. Where you have signed up to an online membership account, we may use your supplied email address to send occasional, non-intrusive, promotional emails as well as weekly film times. You can manage these subscriptions online and can remove your data by surrendering the service subscription at any time. If you choose to use the Membership functions of our website, our system may remember some key indicators such as: the films you have watched, the time and date of your visits and what you chose to purchase at the concessions stand. We collate this information, so we can personalise the offers we may send you, and also so you can see your activity through your Membership history.

  7. How to Withdraw Your Consent
You can withdraw your consent for us to store or process your information. You can do this yourself by using the "Unsubscribe" function on our newsletters, or you can sign in to the website to set your preferences. You can also contact us if you want us to do this for you. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. If this is so, we will tell you.

  8. Profiling
We may, from time to time, process personal data about you in an automated way to evaluate certain personal aspects about you, including to enable us to analyse and make predictions about your interests and how you are likely to interact with us.
